Natural Born Killer Coming from a city of high crime, low literacy, and gang violence, the pit bull is perceived as a vicious breed. Owners who abuse their pit bulls hope to turn them into fighting dogs. Furthermore, they are bred to fight and to guard. In the eyes of these irresponsible owners, the pit bull is a natural born killer. However, some owners fear their pit bull because of the thought of being attack by their own dog. Indeed, this is one main stereotype, all pit bulls have in common; they will turn on their owners. Pit bulls will not turn on their owners unless they have been victims of animal abuse therefore, states should not pass a ban on pit bulls, animal shelters should give pit bulls more time for adoption, and pit bulls should be kept more as family pets instead of guard dogs. …show more content…
