Recommended: Effectiveness of nuclear deterrence

While most people are scared of the devastation caused by nuclear weapons, they do keep the world safe. The fear caused by such weapons actually keeps countries closer to peace. When nations come into conflict they keep it minimal as they are scared to cross boundaries and have a nuclear strike. Countries out there are always going to have nuclear weapons, so the United States must keep them so others are to scared to have us retaliate. Some scientist believes that we might need them other than war, such as to stop a meteor from hitting the earth. Accuracy has been revolutionized to keep a small nuclear strike as small as possible without the high number of casualties. Fear is instilled in many when the topic is brought up about nuclear war. The country will want to use a nuclear bomb to prevent the losses of their own soldiers. this method was used in Japan to end world war two. The bombs would be dropped on the opposing country ultimately wiping out their population. Now if that country decides to retaliate, then there would be a lot of fear and grief brought upon the citizens. Nuclear weapons are extremely expensive to construct and keep up to date with new inventions and improvements. Ultimately, it would come out cheaper will al of the lives being lost and all of the troops and materials you would have to keep producing and deploying if the United States ends up in World War Three. The cost of the materials and troops would end up being just as expensive or even more than just dropping a massive nuclear warhead on the another country rather than fighting for the group with troops and weaponry. Recruitment wouldn’t be a constant burden on the country. All they would have to do is worry about making plenty of powerful nuclear
