Guns play a significant role in American’s daily life and has become part of the American culture. People nowadays believe that guns are the start of the crime. However, I believe guns are the guardian for ordinary people from crime. Who would be able to help the lady who is robbed? Who would dare to? Probably someone who owns a gun and speak for justice. For three hundred years, United States has been known for democracy and freedom. However, democracy and freedom was not given with no cost. Those people who fought for the independence of America were peasants, lawyers or even doctors. Even when America was British’s colony, people has owned guns for hunting. Banning guns would only take them out of the hands of honest citizens that own guns. This could also give criminals more advantage over the unarmed citizens.
Banning guns would do no good because criminals don’t care if they break the law simplely because they are criminal. When good man has no protection, criminal seems to be encouraged to commite crime. Is not banning guns is to reduce crime?
This would be a clearly a danger that there will be no law that can keep guns away from the criminals or stop them from using them.

I do believe that when things are used improperly they can be very dangerous such as a car, a knife or even rope. However, we didnt ban these thing and made law about using such tools. The answer is because these things are important to people’s daily life. Guns, on the other hand, are considered additional product that is unnessary. Today we listen to the news about teenagers accidentally killed another with a gun, but this is not because of the lack of law on guns.
