As such, sides have been made on the proper means not only to regulate weapons, but also in how it has reshaped America as a whole. It’s undeniably aggravating and sorrowful that this constantly occurs, and that President Obama’s constantly getting push back by the NRA and Congress. The idea that those against gun control continue to argue that more guns will make us safer when, in actuality, that just adds more guns to the equation. At the same time, he speaks to gun owners in a way to not make them feel like he’s patronizing to them, but suggesting that the NRA perhaps is not speaking with their interests in mind. Gun control is the situation in which the federal government would put a ban on owning firearms. Contrary to what many “hard-core” Americans believe, gun control would not necessarily ban them from owning hunting rifles or even personal handguns. It would simply limit the ownership of semi-automatic assault rifles, and other rifles of this nature. This does not contradict the Second Amendment of the Constitution which states that American citizens have the Right to Bear Arms. I believe in the constitutional Right to Bear Arms, and I am against any attempt to eradicate that right for any American citizen: however, I am for gun control in the sense of lowering the possession of semi-automatic and fully-automatic rifles.
