Personal Narrative: Why I Love Soccer

I absolutely love soccer, and that is why I was exited for the coming weekend. This weekend I was going to Memphis for a soccer game. The reason I was exited for this game is because it is going to be our first real game as a team. I woke up Saturday that weekend and was ready to play. Me and my dad were going to drive straight to the soccer complex in Memphis where the game started at 10 AM. I had to hurry up and get ready quickly that morning because I got out of bed at 8:30 AM and we had over an hours drive. Then I got all my stuff and packed my soccer bag, and we were ready to go. Me and my dad got in the car, and drove for about an hour, and then we were there. We got to the soccer complex, and there must have been fifty different teams of all ages there. I kept looking for my team in red and white. Then I found them on the other side of the complex. They were getting ready for the game, and then I saw the other team. They looked huge. I thought they were about five years older than me. At that point I was not so confident about us winning anymore. How were we ever going to win against them? The game was going to start in a couple of minutes so I stretched, but I couldn't stop thinking that we would get beaten 10-0. Now it was time for the game to start. We had fun and talked about the game. Then when we were done eating me and my dad drove back home. When we got back I told my mom about the game and about how we had won. She was very proud of me, and so was my dad. After that I went to bed feeling really happy. Looking back on this game I think that it really meant a lot for me and my team mates, because it showed that we could work really well together.
