In my time at Haddonfield Memorial High School I have choose to take some of the hardest classes and pack the most into each year. With six to seven classes and very few study halls or electives, my days are filled with academically challenging class after class. I always come home in the spring after picking schedules with the excitement that I have picked the hardest classes and have one of the most rigorous schedules. For some this may seem daunting, and at times it can be, but I also love learning, and because I have taken every class I can and pushed my self there are so many interesting things I would have never learned if I haven't done that. During my time here at Hudson High School, I have learned so much about what I could achieve for myself and I have developed new passions I continue to chase. I have succeeded and grown in many different programs, clubs and on the field hockey team. I have also developed a strong work ethic by being employed almost entirely through these four years.
On my trip to Churchill Middle School I was paired with a sixth grader named Finley Kane. Finley takes eight classes every day and it placed in Accelerated English and Accelerated Math. These classes are more advanced classes for the students that are ahead of the rest of the grade.
Throughout my high school experience, I've been able to obtain knowledge that I can use to better my life. Some of the classes I've taken have been a blessing in disguise. For example, I never expected to learn as much as I did about writing and literature by just simply reading. Many of my teachers have pushed me to my limits and inspired me to think differently from my peers. In general my best English experience was reading "MacBeth" by William Shakespeare in Mr. Elwell's class, where I also realized I had many English skills to improve on.
I have often wondered what it would be like to experience the freedom of choosing my own class schedule. This has to be infinitely more stimulating and enjoyable. I am also aware that college will be significantly more challenging, but I have always found it easier to study for a class that interests me. I am willing to accept the fact that as long as I am in school, there will be required courses which may not engender excitement or enthusiasm; however, success should not be as difficult to achieve due to the maturity that is developing during this last year of high school. In addition, I have gained an understanding of the benefit of being well rounded. There is value in all classes taken. It helps to know that even my least favorite subject will contribute to the ultimate goal of personal and career development.

I remember the years preceding senior year at Corcoran High; I remember quite vividly, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. I recall the meals the school used to serve students. They weren’t too bad; some were decent and were often looked forward to. I have had many experiences at this school, but none stand parallel with the experience I had with this year’s lunch program. It was Tuesday morning of my junior year in high school, I walk into class and the day starts good until he hands out the assignment and gives us the due date. During my four years at Martin County High School I feel that I have made a major impact on the school and most importantly, the community. I have dedicated most of my time helping my trainer with her volleyball technique class and teaching younger and sometimes older kids how to play volleyball. As a child, my parents always told me, “School comes first.” This meant that I never was able to play amusing games or participate in the engaging sports I played until I finished completing strenuous homework or concluded studying for a test. My entire, undivided life revolved around school. I wasn’t allowed to spend time with friends on “school nights” even if I didn’t have homework. If I were to miss school, it was only because I was too ill. I never made unsatifsfactory grades because I was petrified that if I did, I would be punished severely, so throughout my entire school career, I only remember making a single B on my report card in the 3rd grade. I attended George Washington High School for four and that school has taught me that teachers get no respect. Every day I would go to class and I would see the students ruining around not listening to the teacher and trying to start fights with them. The teacher tried their best to teach the students but in the end noting worked. So in the end the teachers gave up as well and started caring less about the students and let them do whatever they wanted to. I saw it as unfair because their were some kids who wanted to learn but it got ruined by others. I would see kids walking around the halls instead of going to class or skip class to go out and eat.
