The environment I have grown up in has been impactful, exotic, amazing, and energetic. I have grown up loving the outdoors, playing outside, and being active. There are many exotic places I have traveled to such as the Amazon Rainforest, or one of my greatest experiences which was La Piedra del Peñol in Guatape,Colombia. This is a 220-meter high rock having a staircase with 740 steps all the way to the top which I climbed to get the amazing view of the reservoir that surrounds it. I am a very adventurous individual. I have one sister and two parents, both whom were born and raised in Colombia. Luckily, I grew up in a very loving and caring family who supports me to a great extent with my education and sports. My parents are passionate for my sister and I to stay attached to our roots and culture my family originates from. For that reason, we visit my family in Colombia every summer. My family has also molded me into being such a well-rounded young man, they have helped me mature and better myself as a person. The neighborhood I have grown up in has also shaped who I am today. My neighborhood and community are very diverse; this has helped shape me due to the fact that I see how some people suffer and work so hard. I have learned not to take the many blessings I have for granted. The neighborhood I've grown up in has also shaped me to aspire to be someone amazing in life with a purpose. My community has provided me with the opportunities to be greater with programs dating back to when I was in fourth grade. In school, we had a program for the gifted and talented kids, all the way up to ninth grade. I took a creativity test in fourth grade
