Les Brown an American motivational speaker said, “We were all born with a certain degree of power. The key to success is discovering this innate power and using it daily to deal with whatever challenges come our way.” Brick walls taught me how to be responsible, courageous and patience. One trait I learned is responsibilities. I am the oldest child and the only girl in my house. I have many responsibilities as taking care of my brothers. For example, I cook for the family, I babysit my baby brother, and I help them with their school work. Moreover, I have to make sure the house is clean while my parents are at work. First, when I came to the United States, I was that type of person who's really shy, and I was always hesitating before taking decisions. After struggling of being not self-confident, I decided to be stronger, so I start acting like I am a powerful, and that I can handle any difficult situations. Day after day, I actually succeeded to be courageous as Dr. Amy Cuddy who is a social psychologist, declared "Fake it until you make it". I faked it until I finally become it. In addition to responsibilities and courageous, brick walls have taught me patience. In life nothing comes easily, and that is how I learned how to be patient. Furthermore, I learned that the ups and downs in life should gracefully be accepted. Joyce Meyer is a Charismatic Christian author and speaker said, “Patience is not simply the ability to wait - it's how we behave while we're waiting.” For example, at my job I have to be very patient and nice with the customers even if they are rude to me. I was born with a little of strength but every time I face a challenge I become more and more powerful.
