I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. No one can achieve success without doing hard work. It starts when we stop looking for alternatives or shortcuts towards success. We need to remember that there are no short cuts to success. Hard work, complimented with an intense desire to struggle and to achieve success is the only sure way of reaching success that you have always wanted. We should always remember that goals are simply tools to focus your energy in positive direction and for you to work hard. We should also remember this always “don’t let your goals just be goals, work hard, do everything and anything to make that goal a reality” Success is something that we all want to achieve in our lives. Some people want nothing more than to be happily married, have a large family and make their children well. Other people work hard for academic success and becoming as highly educated as they can, Academic success is something that many students want, but also something that many students are not prepared to really work hard. The most successful students are those that put the work in. It doesn’t matter how intelligent you are if you don’t put the effort to learn, and work hard on essays and other assignments. One person Baer quotes is John Wooden who talks about doing your best, “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.” His views on success in part, agree with my views on success. Doing your best will help you to reach for your goals. In the same article, Baer researches Winston Churchill, a British politician, “Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” Both Churchill and I hold the opinion that even if you fail, you should get up and keep going. To not think of it as a failure, but think of it as a lesson on what not to do next time. Hard work is challenging work. But why does it have to be challenging work? Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It’s the work that people of lesser character will avoid. And if you infer that I’m saying people who avoid challenging work have a character flaw, you’re right… and a serious one at that. If you avoid challenging work, you avoid doing what it takes to succeed. To keep your muscles strong or your mind sharp, you need to challenge them. To do only what’s easy will lead to physical and mental flabbiness and very mediocre results, followed by a great deal of time and effort spent justifying why such flabbiness is OK, instead of stepping up and taking on some real challenges.
I believe in working hard for what you want. You have to work for something if you really want to achieve it. Hardworking came to mind because when I asked what my philosophy was, I said it was working hard. I believe in this because for me it’s true, and it is true for many others. I think everyone needs to at least try to get an education. Not everyone can get an education, but you can still try.
I come from a line of hard workers. Everything in my family was earned through hard work and if you knew me personally you would see that the core of our beliefs lie in obtaining a strong education. When I was growing up, my parents had emigrated from Jamaica to America for better opportunities. Both my parents grew up impoverished and did not want their children to live like they had. Coming to America was not the easiest thing for them as they had debts up to their noses. Since my father did not go to college, he could not hold down a steady job and worked meager temp jobs that barely paid the bills. My mother then took it upon herself to go to school in her thirties and worked to support and raise her three children. My mother at thirty six years old graduated with her associates and has been a nurse for almost fifteen years.
To me success is knowing that all your dedication payed off. In the end as long as I did my absolutely best I will be happy. If I don’t achieve straight A’s but I tried to and I never gave up I will be ok with it. Not only is education something I value I also value my family,friends and sports. Overall with your persistence for success and values in mind you can achieve your goals
Believing that hard work pays off in the end is more than an idea to motivate an individual, it is the difference between the ability to strive for success or the breaking point for an individual who believes in “I can’t.” An individual who has the desire for success and believes he or she can achieve anything has the ability to go far. Hard work is something that was drilled into me from my high school track coach. If you're going to want to be something you have to put the work in he always said. He always wanted our team to be a family and work hard together. He never wanted to have someone ever doubt how hard we worked for what we earned.
It is a very well-known fact that there is a fine line between education and success. Success is a word that is very loosely defined, but is normally associated with education in a very simplistic way. In most cases, people put success and education in the same sentence with the traditional association of attending a college or university, graduating with a degree and moving forward with a career choice. To most of us, they say they can spot success at first glance. Generally by the car one drives or how one is dressed. Some might see it by how healthy or how happy one feels. Merriam Webster's Dictionary states that success is “the fact of getting wealth, respect, or fame.” If one where to adopt this definition of success, one might go on to living a life of materialism. This mindset is deceitful and will only reward you with short term happiness, like a drug addict searching for a quick fix. For one to be ultimately successful, one must be able to overcome hardships and possess qualities like integrity, pride and patience which no amount of money in the world could buy. These qualities will make anyone strive in most, if not all the difficult obstacles one must face in life.
If I never make goals for myself or work hard and don't learn from my mistakes I won't leave the legacy I want to leave. One goal that I want to achieve is to get stright A’s. I want to achieve this, I will study, pay attention, and follow directions. For example I spend a lot of time at my dance studio and I want to get better this year. Accomplishing your aim or purpose can be the true definition of success. You must want to achieve your goals at hand. You must want to earn everything. I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
