Hard work is something that was drilled into me from my high school track coach. If you're going to want to be something you have to put the work in he always said. He always wanted our team to be a family and work hard together. He never wanted to have someone ever doubt how hard we worked for what we earned. He told me If I never wanted to be good as one of my teammates i'd have to work for it and change my attitude. That summer I spent most of my summer working out and getting ready for the upcoming season. I started doing it by myself then I started to get more and more guys come. My mother works in Steelcase Wood I obtained a job there and man was it a pain going from high school straight into the workforce; Working 40 plus hours some weeks and not having any time to be a teen. It was tough working that much in a factory with people always trying to blame the newbie on things. But I knew I needed to work hard and push through all the crap cause my parents weren't going to pay for all my college expenses. I worked my butt off sometimes staying over and getting close to 50 hour weeks wanting to quit but I never did. In the end it was all worth it cause now I'm furthering my education. It all started with my track coach telling me i needed to work harder and that has driven me to work harder for longer than just one track season. Hard work is something that you either have or don't have you can't be “semi hard working” you either work hard or you're lazy. I'm happy I have that trait in my life I hope it stays with me the rest of my life cause hard work beats talent when talent doesn't show up. In the end if you put the work in great things will happen and it will pay
