Life is full of mysteries. From childhood, people became curious of things that surround them. Humans experience pain and pleasure through the senses. However the environment plays a major cause of everyone’s behaviors. When people grow older, they become curious. They start asking questions such as; where did we come from and why we are here? To help us understand these questions better, we should first find who we are. For this reason, it is essential to define our belief system and identify our current values to help us understand ourselves better. A belief system is the essential elements that shaped our set of values for which we base everything we do.

Religion has been around for thousands of years. Some people believed in many Gods, and some believed only in one God. The differences among people’s religious belief is obvious, but sometimes they share something in common about good and evil. How people acquired their religious beliefs depends on different factors. Most often, people are influenced from other people’s teaching. Sometimes a person’s environment can be a big reason on a person’s beliefs. Our parents have provided us the biggest influence of our lives. The majority of people today acquired their religious beliefs from their parents or relatives.

Religion is part of human tradition which has been passed down from generations. I did not choose my religion. I was baptized as a Catholic at a young age. I spent most of my younger years in a catholic school and my family has always taken me to church every Sunday. Throughout my adult life, I have accepted my religion regardless of what I have learned from outside influence. My religious beliefs are the basis for everything of what I do in my daily life. ...rs have significant differences. I know my religion; however it is imperative for me to know other people’s religion to understand people behavior better. It is very important to be knowledgeable about people’s beliefs and attitudes toward religion. If all people learned about other religions, they will understand more about how religion ties into the world's events. As a business professional, knowing other people’s belief system helps us to communicate better to people of different beliefs.

Regardless of how we carry out our lives throughout our daily existence, our values are influenced by our belief system. We normally live our lives guided with laws and regulations that we must follow. Not only that we have to follow the judicial law to keep us from trouble, we also have to follow strict adherence to our belief system to achieved inner peace and happiness.
