In my opinion net neutrality is something that we should have. When you go online you have certain expectations. I expect to be connected to whatever website I want. I expect that my cable and phone company aren't messing with the data and that they are connecting me to all websites, applications and content that I choose to be on. I expect to be in control of what I do on the internet.
Net Neutrality is something that prohibits internet service providers like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon from speeding up, slowing down or blocking any content, applications or websites you want to use. Net Neutrality is the way that the internet has always worked. Without the Net Neutrality rules, companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon will be able to call all the shots and decide which websites, content, and applications we get to use not only that they will be able to charge us for our use. …show more content…

Our country was founded on the concept of free enterprise, meaning that consumers ultimately should hold the power of the internet. We should have the freedom to do what we want, say what we want, and we should have the freedom to use it how we want to without having to have slower wifi or worry about being charged.
What are people who use the internet everyday for work going to think when all of the sudden they are being charged for working so in the end they are essentially paying to work and they are not going to want to use the internet anymore because what is the point. Another example I am going to use in schools. Every school nowadays uses technology to learn how are schools going to afford that? We would just no longer use the internet as a tool and most of us would have to honestly learn how to make a citation on our own and look things up in
