Once there was this race that was going down all around Disneyland. There were this girl named Squeaky. She loved Disney and everything about it. Then to get into the race everyone had to dress up as a Disney character to get into the race.
Before Squeaky left her mom told her to be safe in the park and to not to lose any of her Lilo costume while she was running. She then went to the race hoping she would win the race and get to bring home to big trophy that you got if you won the race. When Squeaky got to the front of the line to get in, the lady then asked
“Can I see your ticket mam’ “
“Of course you can” said Squeaky as she handed her the ticket.
Then as Squeaky went into the race she was kind of sad that Raymond couldn’t race with her,

As they both started running, they noticed that they were in the lead. As they were in the lead, they person on the side who was keeping track of how many miles each person had so far, said that they both only had half a mile. That means that they had already ran 3 miles and they were both still going strong to finish the race. That is a very good sign since everyone's way far back in the race. Then that moment Squeaky noticed something. She noticed that there was someone in the back of them. The person was Raymond, her little brother! She was in so much shock but also so proud of him for getting in the race and at least trying to run even though he really couldn’t.
Then at that point in time, winning wasn’t her first priority anymore. She was in so much shock and so happy to see her brother that she went back and gave him a huge hug and started running with him so that they could finish the race together like family should.
At that moment in time, she realized that because she had ran back to her brother, she had lost the race. Then once the air horn went off signifying that someone had one, she was sad. On other hand she was also was also happy that her brother got actually do the race with her and that they got to finish it

One of the lessons Hope had to learn the hard way is that her parents know what is best for her. Hope learned this the hard way because she had smoked a cigarette one time. And her parents had told her to not tell her big brother Robert
Even though Black music such as blues did not end oppression, it helped rehabilitate the oppressed by creating a new identity through music such as blues. The Social construction of racial formation categorized racial groups to construct their social identity. A form of this basis is determined from skin color or skin pigment. Black music such as blues were used as a form of arts to escape the oppression that was placed upon them based on their skin color.
Squeaky show this by saying, “ I can always retire as a runner and begin a whole new career as a coach for Raymond…” Even though, Squeaky was already, loving and protective of Raymond, she still would rather give up her “career as a runner, (which she loves) to coach Raymond. This means a lot for a character like Squeaky becauses since she is tough, she wouldn’t give anything up that easy. Also, at the very end, she also says, “...Maybe she would like to help coach Raymond…” In this case, she is referring to, Gretchen. Throughout the story, Squeaky, disliked her. In my opinion, I think that Squeaky was afraid because, Gretchen is really a good runner. Almost as good as Squeaky is. So, Squeaky might have thought that Gretchen could win. Also, Squeaky seemed to just really never like her but, at the end, Squeaky shows us that she vulnerable. Even though, she opened up just a little bit, she was still vulnerable.
Just as the official was signaling the start of the race, Russell took off sprinting to the finish line. Isaiah and Dennis quickly joined the race, thinking they must have missed the start. Russell crossed the finish line first and turned to Isaiah and Dennis boasting, “I won. I’m the fastest. I’m the greatest!”
Crash, written and directed by Paul Haggis, is a 2005 independent film that overturns most people’s vision of race in America, and made me squirm throughout its 120 minute run. This twelve year old film, succinctly packages race relations and prejudice, and the sad reality of American culture after 9/11 with a gaping racial divide.
Every little girl and boy at some point in their life, wanted to be a Disney character of some sort whether it be Cinderella, Aladdin, Mushu, or even the famous Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney Company has been worldwide, and has had a moving impact on both children and adults since it first started in 1924. “All your dreams can come true – If we have the courage to pursue them” (Disney) Throughout Walt Disney’s life he has been an inspiration to all through his never-ending imagination, his magical theme parks, and his charming cartoons.
Disneyland is a popular theme park and an iconic representation of Disney as a company. Millions of people from around the globe, from every age group visit the park every year. The park is envisioned as a glimmering land of nostalgia and childlike imagination that is fun for the whole family. However, this land that we call “The Happiest Place On Earth” in an ironic twist has become a human trap set by a mouse, an inadvertent ploy to inflict naivety and promote fallacy. With the framework of a utopian getaway, the decontextualization presented by the design of the park disciplines park goers into a mindset of false reality.
herself. After running for a number of miles, Sethes feet could carry her no further
For example, Song of the South was a movie that was later made into a ride called Splash Mountain; about a bunny wanting to live a life of fun and adventure, although understanding that trouble can arise when leaving home, like being caught and eaten by a wolf. Animatronics were very popular throughout the park which gave off a curious sense to visitors. Majority of the animatronics were recycled from another attraction called “America sings”. When the late 1980’s came, many were saddened that America Sings attraction vanished but were exhilarated when Splash Mountain offered their singing animatronics on a wet and wild
Even though the girl thought that she would be in trouble for letting the horse out she did not regret it, even though she wasn’t sure why she had done it. After everyone arrived back home they had dinner. Laird was excited and showed off the blood that he had on his arm from the horse. During dinner Laird told everyone how she had let the horse out of the gate. She began crying and her father said, “Never mind, she’s only a girl.” Finally she didn’t protest it and thought that maybe it was true.
Going into the first race we had not expected much since Susan and I had never run this type of race. There were so many crucial things that we had to remember. It wasn't just to get out of the blocks and burn up the track; there was a baton involved, a certain amount of steps to take, and even a certain way to hold the baton.
Before you start racing, your mind will go wild with “what-if” scenarios and obscure, ridiculous possibilities. The world and all events going on around you become over thought and you begin to worry and get anxious. The anxiety of racing is a terrible feeling, then when the race begins and it becomes real, you can feel the mental push through your mind. Your thoughts go everywhere, leading to panic when you are unable to focus. At these times when focusing gives the impression that is it impossible, the feeling of doubt flushes over you, clouding your mind, making the vision of success foggy. You become scared, and even afraid that you will not to be able to motivate yourself to keep going, but you have to because being able to motivate yourself is key to help you improve your mentality while racing. Then, you finally hit the finish line, finally, at last, you can relax your mind after those though three miles. Your mind can become unflustered, and all of those thoughts of pressure and doubt fade away because you did it. Finishing the race gives your mind a sense of freedom and pride, even if you did not get the best time or placing, because if you know you tried your best and gave it your all, then you succeed and all that worry can disappear. Mentally pushing yourself and physically pushing yourself are so draining, it is like draining a pool, except you are draining your body, but it is worth
