In an ideal world, the classroom would be tidy and ordered. Everything would have its proper place. The children’s desk stay organized and in straight rows. Pencil shavings and paper edges are never on the floor, and there would be order to every task we do. However, this is not an ideal world, and the classroom will be chaotic at times. The classroom will have procedures done daily as a routine. The children will pick up after themselves. By guiding the students in the classroom to be respectful of their belongings and other’s belongings as well. A great way to show respect for your things is to keep your area tidy. My student should develop their mind outside the box to come up with new and refreshing ideas. My students need to be able to keep the information given them and use it to better themselves. The information I give them should be relatable to something in their lives to helping them retain the information. I hope students are excited about coming to my class. I want to show my students compassion and how to reflect on themselves.
The classroom will not be a boring place full of busy work. There will be busy work, homework and of course reading and writing. At times, it will be very tedious, but there also be times of fun and socializing. I will not be the only one teaching my class. My children will teach me as well. I will inform the parents of my students of what specifically is going on in our classroom during any part of the day. I will graciously accept any criticism or ideas the parents give me. I will learn from any blunders that are made and apply those lessons in my classroom to prevent myself from making them again. Learning from the errors of previous teachers before me have made and use their true and tried techniques. I will also explore with new ideas in my classroom to help further my pupils and myself in the revolving door of education. I hope to form a close connection with the principal.
