As a young child and even still today, I have always immersed my life around video games. Every day after school I find myself playing games such as Pokémon, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Grand Theft Auto on my consoles as well as spending hours on the computer playing online games. Playing video games has always been hobby as well as a creative outlet. The sensation that comes from playing video games emulates a different kind of reality that you normally wouldn’t experience in real life is just fascinating experience. Sometimes, I ponder deeply about how blessed I am to be living in this age where amenities like video games exist. Playing video games has always been hobby of mine and I always aspired for it to be my career… actually not even a career I’d like to think of it as more of a calling! I’m sure this is a very common story but a lot of the relationships I forged with friends all happened because of video games. Most people including my parents assumed that video games are nothing but a waste of time and that I’ll never get career if I continue to waste my time playing such silly games. But my successful career revolves around gaming and it’s exactly what I love doing because it’s my American dream and I get paid for it!. I really enjoy creating games and my fans enjoy playing my games even if I’m an underrated low time game developer. Your American Dream is how you let your passion inspire yourself and others. I inspired other people to work with me and create fun retro 80’s horror games that I put for sale on Steam. Maintaining Pig Farmer Productions hasn’t been easy let me tell you. When I was just starting out my path in becoming a game developer, I had a lot of trouble programming. I couldn’t understand the differences between the different programming languages used and I didn’t have any one to teach me how to code. I wasn’t even computer science major in college. I ended up majoring in psychology because at that time I didn’t really understand what I wanted to do. I had instances where I had to beat myself in the head for giving up on certain projects and not staying true to certain deadlines. My lack of confidence and trust within myself and my company nearly became my undoing. Some of my past coworkers quit my company because we weren’t making any progress with the games that we were developing but then again we spent more time arguing rather than collaborating.
