Music has always been an important part of my life and I have always been passionate about it, ever since I was young. I was strongly influenced by my dad, who played the drums in high school and loves classic rock; and my mom, who was a member of the choir in high school and at MSU. Needless to say, they supported my constant renditions of Wheels on the Bus as a toddler.
Weekly music class in elementary school was easily my favorite activity, and I took the recorder solos and annual concerts very seriously. In middle school when choir became an optional elective, I immediately jumped at the opportunity.
