Its effects has been identified, summarized, and discussed by scholars and specialists from different social and medical specialties. The study of music therapy within different areas throughout the medical field has proven its efficacy as a non pharmacological approach for the management of developmental disabilities. For children suffering from autism spectrum disorder (ASD) those studies have proven the use of music therapy enhances social interaction, decreases undesirable behaviors, and promotes healing and comfort.
