Scenes from the Earth.
In 2008 , Walt Disney Pictures has produced an animated science fiction movie called Wall -E . This movie tells the story of a robot called Wall-E, who lives on future Earth and it was manufactured by the mega company called Buy-N-Large to collect trash , compact it and then stack it up tidily .The movie shows that all the humans have evacuated Earth to space, leaving programmed robots like Wall-E to clean up the world . “The necessity for Wall-E becomes obvious once the viewers sees the condition and landscape of the future Earth” said by Daniele A. On the same scene , a character called Mc Crea who is the ship’s current captain is introduced along with a robotic autopilot,AUTO which the known as the “bad guy “ in the movie . The captain leaves most of the ship’s operations under the control of its robotic autopilot ,AUTO.The movie illustrates that advanced technology in the future can be very convenient but it can also be very dangerous because it lead effects like robots taking over the world and also high dependency on technology where humans no longer need to work . When the plant is brought to the captain ,Wall-E got damaged and partially crushed by AUTO when Wall-E tries to protect the plant from being destroyed . EVE as the heroine quickly send Wall-E and the whole crew back to Earth so that the humans can restore the planet and also saving Wall-E .The movie portrays that how robots can reveals its directive and mutiny stage when they are not properly controlled by humans. “The movie also portrays the ideological exchange as contained within the diegesis and therefore stops the audience from identifying the movie itself as ideological” -Daniele A.
