Ania Valle The year of 1963, a famous leader gave his speech about his own opinion in front of 250 thousand people. Martin Luther King Jr. became a leader for many black lives. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for civil rights for everyone can be equal. He is also a very brave man who became a role model to most people. Martin Luther King Jr. also fought for peace for everyone can have better lives without feeling they can do anything just because they are a certain color. He stands up for what he believes as in making people know that everyone is equal. “In his “Dream” speech, Dr. King alludes to a famous passage from Galatians, when he speaks of “that day when all of God’s children — black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics — will be able to join hands.” (Kakutani, Michiko). He gives speeches on what he believes in even though he knows he will get hated on even more. Martin Luther King Jr. was getting threats for the bus boycott that people showed up at his house and started a house bombing. “On September 30, 1956, Martin Luther King Jr.’s house was bombed by segregationists in retaliation for the success of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.” ( Bio.com). Martin Luther King Jr. is a brave man for standing up and knowing that people will try to hurt him and his family in anyway possible but he will not take any chances because he cares. He inspired many men and women to also stand up with him if they believe the same thing or even believe in different rights. “On March 7, 1965, a civil rights march, planned from Selma to Alabama's capital in Montgomery, turned violent as police with nightsticks and tear gas met the demonstrators as they tried to cross the Edmond Pettus Bridge.” (biography.com Editors). Martin Luther King Jr. has become an amazing leader who puts so much work into what he want to happen in the world.
