I) Introduction:
“All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.” Is this quote true? Mahatma Gandhi’s actions using nonviolence and the way he lived proved that.
Mahatma Gandhi was the preeminent leader of the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India, who helped gain India’s Independence.
The famous Indian civil rights leader, Mahatma Gandhi dedicated his life to stopping hatred, violence, and helping others all by using nonviolence.
II) First Argument:
Gandhi worked with others to make the world a better place. He dedicated his life to stopping others from hatred by using nonviolence.

“Gandhi said, ‘I can imagine a fully armed man to be at heart a coward. Possession of arms implies an element of fear, if not cowardice but true nonviolence is impossibility without the possession of unadulterated fearlessness”’ (Basebang).
This evidence shows how Gandhi encouraged others not to use violence to solve problems, but instead encouraged others to use nonviolent action. He explained how violence was not a powerful weapon, but instead nonviolence was a more powerful since its mightier than any weapon. This allowed Gandhi to achieve many things such as helping India gain independence from Britain all by persuading others not to use violence as a weapon, but to use nonviolence instead.
