Is the ability to graduate a year early too good to be true? That is false. In high schools all across the nation, schools have a system where students can take more classes in a semester and graduate a year early. This is amazing for students who are academically capable. “You can get a head start on college or work”(Andersen). It can also open new doors to life experiences.
The amazing thing about this is that students may not only graduate early, but can take college courses while in high school. This may seem like a little much on a high school students plate, but it has shown great success throughout the country. Allowing students to do this may also let them build the maturity for a college classroom, which will help them to learn better. …show more content…

They have time to relax and decide and if they want to go to colleges. They will also have time to do stuff with their family. They may also have time to do other things such as hobbies, sports, or just to prepare for the big world. If you want an extra year to enjoy your life and have a head start on college I would suggest looking into graduating early.
The only problem that other sources have been able to find with students graduating early os that they may not be mature enough for a college classroom. For twelve years these kids have changed from children to young adults. It has also been told that some students have had a quite lengthy disciplinary history.
The reason it has been said that early graduation students are not ready for a college classroom is perhaps that people are intimidated of a younger student on the same education level. This could be a common problem that we should not allow to block students from seeking a higher education. Twelve years is more than enough for people to grow in a classroom and adapt to the behavior of young adults.
