During this semester I have discovered several personality traits which I seem to possess. My personality traits include persistence, introversion, and perfectionism. My persistence has paid off and, to some extent, so has my perfectionism; however, I have been trying to lose my perfectionist attitude because it can be very detrimental to progress. My introversion has not hurt me this semester, but I will need to continue working on improving this trait as I move forward. In the book Cornerstones for College Success I found that my personality type can be considered ISTJ which is an acronym for introverted, sensing, thinking, and judging. The ISTJ personality type has the following description: “have a great power of concentration; very dependable; …show more content…
Even when feeling overwhelmed with school and work, I continued to push towards my goals and this persistence has paid off. Motivation is essential to being persistent, so I consistently called upon my internal motivation to help give me the attitude I needed to succeed. Internal motivation is powerful since it comes from one’s own thoughts and one does not need to rely on outside sources. My internal motivation was envisioning a better future for my family and knowing that persistence is essential to achieve that goal means they are both together essential. A good behavior I have been able to improve upon is time-management. I have kept an important to-do list that allows me to become more efficient by focusing on one task at a time without having to remember every single task. In addition, my Learning Framework class has shown me a way to properly prioritize my to-do list along with creating a list for the next day before going to bed. An important strategy I have used regarding time-management is finishing the must-do tasks before rewarding myself with free time. Consistently practicing these strategies has helped me manage my time successfully as a

The Kiersey Temperament Test shows that I am of an ISJF personality which is characterized by an introvert with a reflective communication style. Over several years, psychologist and other scholars have studied the personality types of a variety of people in many different environments. Much of the studies emphasize how different personalities effects humans within their daily lives. My personality type is INTJ. The acronym stands for introverted intuitive thinking judging. Although I am an introvert, this does not mean that I do not like people. After taking the online personality test I learned that I am an INTJ personality. Consequently, this was not a big surprise for me because I had already taken a similar test in my psychology class and ended up with the same result. I did not learn how accurate the test was the first time since I did not do further analysis on the exact meaning of my personality type. The 16 personality type’s website de...
My results said that I have an ISFJ personality. My scores were introvert (56%), Sensing (31%), Feeling (16%), and Judging (44%). The assessment stated that ISFJs frequently find themselves in occupations that either involves a lot of dealings with other people and require thoroughness and persistence. They work in organizations of various sizes and industries, where as a rule they work with people. Very often ISFJs recognize their potential in healthcare (nurse, patient care, and medical services, as well as administrative jobs) and several community care organizations. I do agree with some of the Jung Typology Seal assessments. I agree with being an introvert since I am a person that is reserved and to myself half of the time, but, on the other hand, I do like to serve others. I do not agree that I am overworked. If I get to the point to where I feel overworked, I will go to my boss and discuss the matter, so that I can get help with my work before resulting in some of extent psychosomatic illnesses. I agree with the part about working best with a small group or one-on-one situation. I also agree with the traditional careers for ISFJs attitude that include: teaching, social work, most religious work, nursing, clerical and secretarial work of any kind, and some
I think overall the test was very accurate in describing my personality type. I am a nurturer, kind-hearted, and want to believe the best in people. The portrait of ISFJ’s was spot on, however, I disagree with some of the relationship weaknesses. They described my personality to be very emotionally needy, with a difficult time leaving a bad relationship, or moving on from an ended relationship. I have to disagree with this because I feel I am the type of person that once you lose my trust in a relationship, I am done with trying to make that relationship work. Once I have something against a person, it’s hard for me to over-look the issue, and just keep staying in the relationship. I am very independent and don’t rely much on others for my

I really love personality psychology, so one of the best ways I know how to describe the type of person I am is to say that I am an INFJ personality type. My primary mode of living is focused internally, where I take things in primarily via intuition and instinct. INFJ 's are empaths, so we have a great and pretty unique ability to feel and understand what others are feeling with little to no explicit information given to us at all (sometimes we are actually compared to psycics). My secondary mode is external, which is how I made decisions, and it is where I deal with things according to how I feel about them, or how they fit with my personal value system. I would like to think that I am an intelligent, patient, caring and compassionate, encouraging, highly intuitive, gentle,
I am an ISTJ with unique personality strengths and weaknesses. My strengthens are being hardworking, productive, efficient, and driven (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 306). In opposition, being compulsive, inexpressive, and driven by routines are my weaknesses (Kroeger et al, 2002, pp. 308-309). The Prentice Hall Self-Assessment increased awareness of more personality strengths and weaknesses for my consideration.
Persistence. Persistence in the face of opposition. It is easy to be passionate when life and business is good. You will have the perfect mindset and attitude. However, what happens when the perfection stops and the hardships set in. Will you drive forward, with the same passion and commitment? The winners do. The successful entrepreneurs do. Persistence is the ingrained mindset of success. It truly does separate those that succeed from those that fail. Your persistence is what separates those that dream to achieve and those that achieve. Never give
