“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” (Mandela 61). Many people state that college is not worth the time and money the students put forward. If one decides that a secondary education is the right path for them, it would definitely benefit their future because of the challenging environment, better jobs that will be available, and the higher paychecks over time. Students who attend college do better with new environments and have more freethinking. A college environment will prepare students for adulthood, “Free thinking, discussion, and discernment take place on college campuses. While I hope most people learn from their mistakes, students are in an environment that challenges them to make important decisions every day.” (Rondeau). Becoming an adult will not come easily, if there is any way to better prepare one for that transition it would be smart to use it. Being U.S citizens, a students would have a better lifestyle working in a higher ranked profession, “Getting a college education is still a good idea-- college graduates earn more, and are more likely to have a job in the first place-- and is especially important for some Americans.” (Rotherham 79). Certain corporates will not hire an employee who does not have a college degree, even having a degree from a small community college will make higher end jobs become available.
