Have you ever wondered about what happened to the Titanic 104 years ago? The Titanic was one of the most famous White Star Liners, but also one of the most famous disasters. Many thought it was unsinkable. There are many facts, theories, and stages of how the Titanic sank, but those souls soon had to face the trials of the sinking to survive. There are many facts and History to the Titanic, they are very shocking and amazing. The Titanic was one of the most innovative and advanced of it’s time. Also, R.M.S in R.M.S Titanic means Royal Mail Ship. This is a ship that someone on board, the radio operator, sends mail for passengers to land that are then sent to whoever it was meant for. Another, is that on the Titanic there was about 96,000 lbs of food. Only counting 75,000 lbs of meat ;11,000 lbs of fish ;10,00 lbs of sugar. There was also, 36,000 oranges ;7,000 heads of lettuce ;40 Tons of potatoes ;and more. In total the Titanic weighted about 46,328.57 tons, over a thousand more tons than the Olympic. You wonder why? Well, they did because they couldn’t live with ] that big of a ship being sunk by an iceberg. First, people thought a fire might have broken out in the boiler rooms, so Captain Edward Smith tried to speed as fast as he could to get to shore, but failed and crashed into an iceberg. Next on the list of theories have a German U-Boat. This theory is based on that there was no iceberg, and that the Titanic was sunk by a German U-Boat. Well it was during WW1. Another, theory is that a few days earlier an Archaeologist had discovered the tomb of a Pharaoh. They say it cursed anyone who came in contact with it.
