I am exceptionally qualified and have the leadership, management, and technical skills needed to become a Warrant Officer. Being a Warrant Officer is about being a self-confident and dependable leader. With the time I have spent in the army and as an NCO, I have learned all these qualities and more throughout my career and I'm ready to take those skills to the next level. Being a Warrant is becoming a subject matter expert in the field that is chosen, I have worked in several other fields outside of my MOS and in each I have learned and succeeded in becoming competent in those areas in which being a Warrant Officer is very important. I have the ability to manage decisions under pressure to successfully carry out the task and bring the mission
In all respect I've always had a fascination with becoming an F.B.I. agent. As my interest grow during my educational progression, I'm learning how my personal attributes with help me in my given field. First of is the size of my physical build, which I believe will help me with any possible altercation I my encounter. My positive attitude toward life will also be helpful. I also have a good decision making skills, with out letting let and kind of prejudice entering my mind. The reason I am so positive about this is I've had such a variety of friends. I've had friends of different races, ethnic background, and religious beliefs. I've also have a vary strong emotional barrier due to all the tragedy I've gone though in my life. I've lost three of my closet friends in the last four years. Through all those years I was the person who was strong to help my entire friends threw our losses. When I get into the field all the knowledge I've acquired in my education will in all intent be useless. How do I know this you ask? Several people I know in several justice fields have told me that the real education comes in the field. Their have several movies such as "The Siege", Silence of the Lambs" witch have inspired me to follow in this possible life style. The T.V. show cops is the most instamental to me, due to the way they always explain how to dissolve every encounter, and what would happen to the perpetrator. These movies and T.V. shows give a positive outlook on my possible life in handling these issues. I would not leave out the possibility of becoming a scout leader. The reason I think I could handle this job is because I've always had an attraction to teaching children. I have been babysitting children for seven years, for my next-door neighbors and my aunt. Any other person besides their parents or me could always never control the three boys next door. Then there are my two cousins who were both girls. I always loved watching children; I just get along with them so well. I believe I could make a difference in their lives.
As a Non-commissioned Officer you can expect me to be a professional leader dedicated to taking care of soldiers, the mission, and the army way of life. You can expect me to use Army Regulations, Technical Manuals, and direct orders from my superiors as my guidance on what actions to take in each situation faced whether tactical or technical. I will not be afraid to make sound and timely decisions in the absence of my leadership’s orders. When left in charge I will take charge.
In conclusion, only the officers truly know why they choose to be officers. It has been recorded that here is no denying the influence a family member being in the field has an effect on their decision but through our own investigation there is evidence that the officers believe they chose that career for themselves. It is possible that both a family member and the officer’s personal judgment each played a role in their choice. In fact, we should hope it is that way. We want our officers to feel obligated to protect and serve us as well as feel that it is a decision that they have made for themselves.
I want to be a JAG Officer because of the variety of work it provides. I have demonstrated interests in criminal law, international law, and national security law. My interest in criminal law started as a child in front of the television and I continued to engage this interest by studying criminal justice and honing my investigatory at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. My interests in international and national security law began in college where I studied and wrote about topics such as Just War Theory and terrorism and have continued in law school where I am the Director of Events for my institutions National Security Law Association. A career in the JAG Corps will allow me to pursue those interests while my ability
I have asked myself, “Why do I want to be a military officer?” I want to be a military officer so I can be a role model to all Soldiers and civilians. To be an expert in a field of study, so that Soldiers approach me for advice and be a leader to look up to. An officer that knows right from wrong, willing to put the needs of their Soldiers before my own. Lead, mentor, and form young Soldiers to know what it is to be an American Soldier. To keep the traditions of being a military officer as it moves forward in our generation. This is why I want to be an officer in today’s military.
Specifically, Brigade Conduct Officer has come to mind. I’ve know the last two Brigade Conduct Officer’s (including the current one), and I feel as if I have a decent grasp of the job. I feel as if my strengths the fact that I enjoy being around people and specifically that I am compassionate towards them would definitely be beneficial to this role. The Brigade Conduct Officer needs to be somebody who is willing to fight for his/her fellow midshipmen. In addition, through my experience with the conduct system, I feel as if I have more to offer than the average midshipman. While on restriction, I thought about this and decided that it definitely might be an avenue I would be open to exploring. Glee Club President is another position I would be open to pursuing. I have a passion for singing, as it is something I have practiced since the 4th grade. It is my escape and I would love having the honor of leading those 60+ individuals next year as we traverse through exciting performances and opportunities. This would be beneficial for me because as Glee Club President you interact with the members very frequently and have to have decent people skills in order to be effective. My charisma and compassion would aid in this, along with the dedication I have shown in Glee Club. Furthermore, it would give me another opportunity to improve upon my organization and time management as well as my patience. Other positions I have considered are any battalion positions. For example, if Brigade Conduct doesn’t work out, then maybe Battalion Conduct would be the move. Or perhaps Battalion ADEO since I have experience with that as well. I know though, that I will need to find a position where I’m interacting with people on a daily basis and one where I have the opportunity to make a change within the Brigade. A situation where my inspirational and charismatic
In my ENC 1101 class, we were required to go through several of processes to map out the formula of writing our final assignment in our class: a synthesis essay. The most imperative part of our assignment was to choose a synthesis essay question on a list that our professor gave us. The second most vital ingredient in the formula was to choose two texts from our Allyn & Bacon Guide to Writing book which would be the backbone of our synthesis essay that we would have to expand on and create our own ideas from. The question that I choose to further my vague knowledge on immigration was: "What should the United States do to make progress in solving the problem of undocumented immigration?" The texts and ideas that I write about to answer my synthesis question are within this essay. Moreover, the two texts I choose to go into depth to seek out possible answers to my synthesis question are 'The Global Immigration Problem' by Victor Davis Hanson, and 'Immigration Frenzy Points out Need for Policy Debate' by Byron Williams. The main subjects of both these articles are of course about immigration which paints the many complexities and sides that the immigration conflict poses. Re-reading and thinking of the authors ideas on the issue have caused my standpoint on immigration to develop into a more credible and deeper opinion, which was my goal as soon as I saw the list of synthesis questions I was required to choose from. Also, due to the fact of living in a community filled with immigrants, my interest in immigration was a no-brainer for me.
The person that is next in command after the Battalion Commander is the Executive Officer (XO). The executive officer’s purpose is to help the Battalion Commander to run the whole program. The XO will also help the Battalion Commander send orders to the rest of the staff and cadets. The XO must be hardworking, well-rounded, firm, and responsible. I think that the position of XO would be a good fit for me because I possess these characteristics. I hope that I will be able to implement new ideas such as new clubs and programs to give cadets more opportunities to be involved in JROTC. I would also like to have guest speakers and recruiters come in and speak to the cadets about the different career paths that they can take. I think that obtaining
I want to be an officer because I think that ASB will give me an opportunity for a new experience during my time at Chaparral Middle School. I would like to get involved in our school student body. I really enjoy planning and doing things for my school. I would like to be chosen for this position because I would like to make our school a better place. I think that having fun is great but planning activities for our school such as the dances, helping advocacies, and also helping the new sixth graders welcome to Chaparral is going to be really fun but educating. I think that ASB is a great opportunity for me because I like leading people in almost any circumstance. I think that it would be a great experience
Being an advisor to the chain of command is extremely important for the Warrant officer. No successful leader in the world has made a decision without talking to an advisor. A great example of this is during WWII, the German were winning the war until Hitler stop listening to his military advisor which lead to the down fall the German Army. There are two types of advisor good and bad. If a Warrant Officer is a good advisor they will give out timely and correct advice, keep relevant with in their field, have a great understanding of the commanders’ intent, and stay neutral. If a Warrant Officer is a bad advisor they will give out bad information, be out of touch with what is going on in their field, and will only looking out for themselves. Being an advisor is where the Warrant Officer gains and holds most their
This goal is important to me because I would be the first police officer in my family and that I would be a woman in a male-dominated field and I want to change how people view of police officers. One person that I can attribute my decision to become a police officer is my public safety teacher from high school. He was a worked for the St Cloud police department for thirty-five years and was the captain before he retired and became a teacher. I would always go to him with questions about being a police officer and what are some of the things they faced and he always answered me honestly and would give me advice from an impartial standpoint, not from someone that was trying to advocate to become a police officer. We would have conversations where sometimes he would be advising me to not become an officer and sometimes he would say to go for it but he always reminded me that to get through being a police officer it was always going to depend on the mindset you have towards the job and the people. You can go into the job thinking everyone is a criminal but you can’t think that everyone is good either. Also he told me that even if you did good people will always hate you which really bothered me since their sole purpose is to protect and serve the people and made me determined to become one because I wanted to be one of the good ones and help to change that idea in the community I would be
Though not easy to alter a culture, the power of one individual who sets the standard for behavior consistent with the Army Values should not be underestimated. It is imperative that this individual establish credibility through consistent exceptional performance. He must then find a way to adequately influence, through effective communication, the identified toxic behavior and provide sound alternatives that are consistent with the roles of a leader in the military. Warrant Officers in SF are in a unique position to influence both officers and enlisted. The Warrant Officer must establish his credibility through performance, but once established, can provide informed advice and feedback to correct toxic behavior. If unable to effect a change in a toxic leader or culture, then informing the chain of command is necessary to ensure the integrity and reputation of the Regiment are not tainted by a toxic leader inside the ranks.
Immigration has always been a large conflict people have faced all across the world. There are plenty of reasons why people migrate to a country, whether it may be the United States or any other particular one. Many people often come in an attempt to escape poverty, crime, or to simply have a better opportunity to better their lifestyle. Although there are people who migrate and commit severe crimes, there are others who sacrifice themselves in order to live a better life. In addition to that, I believe the government should approve new immigration laws in favor of immigrants who come to better their life and achieve their dreams.
Today, in most cases, people don’t spend very much time thinking about why the society we live in presently, is the way it is. Most people would actually be surprised about all that has happened throughout America’s history. Many factors have influenced America and it’s society today, but one of the most profound ways was the way the “Old Immigrants” and “New Immigrants” came to America in the early to mid 1800s. The “Old Immigrants were categorized as the ones who came before 1860 and the “New Immigrants” being the ones who came between 1865 and 1920. The immigrants came to the United States, not only seeking freedom, but also education. Many immigrants also wanted to practice their religion without hindrance. What happened after the immigrants
An officer rolls up in her patrol car and notices a man holding a gun walking into a gas station near by. She quickly calls for backup, gets out of the vehicle and walks towards the building with her gun in hand. In the car, she can faintly hear on the radio “Corbett, wait for backup.” She ignores it and slowly keeps walking.
