Being a student at Madison-Plains for 13 years has truly been an amazing experience. Having smaller classes gave me the opportunity to seek help when needed, this also allowed me to connect with my classmates in a way that bigger schools cannot offer. I have made my best friends through Madison-Plains whether it was through sports, clubs, and even academically advanced classes. I have always thought that Madison-Plains allowed me to be myself and gave me the opportunity to be recognized for my academic achievements. Even though academics are a big part, the community service requirement allowed me to give back and make new connections. They explained there were so many awards available along with numerous scholarships for high GPA’s and the mention of NHS sparked the start of my persevering attitude. Being inducted into the National Honor Society is the most meaningful achievement to me, it increased my community involvement and showed that my hard work payed off. Recognition helps many people to go above and beyond what they think they can do. The yearly awards banquet recognizing not only the seniors, but also my achievement of a high GPA, showed that Madison-Plains truly cares for every student. From the Superintendent and the Board of Education to staff and PTO members, a student at Madison-Plains can truly feel their importance. This influenced me to choose a career where I can help people feel important and to help them. I have chosen to pursue a career in science with my end goal being either a college professor teaching biological sciences or a geneticist. Being around such influential and caring teachers is what drove me to consider teaching but on a college
