Being a member of the National Honor Society is a high distinction. Those chosen to be in it are the best of the best - the crème de la crème. One part of being in the National Honor Society is good leadership. Knowing how to lead and inspire other in a positive way is a big responsibility of an NHS member. Members of NHS set the example to those around them. A big part of being a member is service. Members must work hard and communicate well to help others. Members are given many opportunities to help others. To be in the NHS, you must show good character. Character is composed of honesty, fairness, and respect. My entire life, I have strived to do well in everything I do. I have never wanted to settle for second best in the activities that I am interested in. Once I have a goal in my mind, I work until it is complete. I work to overcome the obstacles ahead of me. In school, I work towards perfect marks on everything from homework to tests. Not only do I work hard in school, but I work hard in the other activities that I am involved in. One example of my hard work in another activity is Solo and Ensemble Contest. This year, I had a couple of months to work on a snare solo that I was to play in front of a judge for a professional rating. When I first looked at the piece I was given to play, I had many doubts as to whether I could pull it off or not. I worked hard every single day practicing it. Eventually, I was able to play it all the way through with no mistakes! By the time I played it in front of a judge, I had played it so many times that it was pure motor patterns. I scored a superior rating on it, which I credit to my hard work. If I am going to do something, I am going to commit wholly to it. I am writing to inform you of my possible contributions to the National Honor Society and my interest in becoming a member. I view myself as a strong minded individual with a strong incentive to learn. Acquiring the ability to learn fast and adapt quickly has enabled me to be a part of a wide range of organizations. My participation and loyalty to the NHS could result in a great strive forward. I could provide more ideas of services to benefit the school and our community. I would also devote a large portion of my free time to the organization and assist in any way possible. Whether that means coming in early in the morning or staying late after school, I would do any means necessary to show my commitment.

I’m so happy to be given the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society(NJHS). I would love to be a member. I think it is important for kids to be involved in the community. Also, myself personally it would be an honor to be a face for our school.
The National Junior Honor Society is a very respected and prestigious organization that I would be glad to be a part of. The students involved exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, character, and knowledge. All of which are traits that are incredibly important in my own life. I feel that each student with the privilege to commit to this foundation should devote some time and effort to those qualities.

The National Honors Society is based off of four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service. These are all characteristics a member of the National Honor Society should exhibit. National Honors Society is an extremely prestigious and well-known group that gave me the opportunity to assist the community while working harmoniously with my peers. To get into NHS, there are four pillars one must fulfill, including, scholar, service, leadership, and character. One may not realize it, but these qualities apply all throughout life. Being inducted into the National Honors Society is what I have been waiting for. Becoming a member is nothing more than a dream come true, and I appreciate it greatly. If I am to be chosen as a member I know that I will be a positive and dependable participant in society activities. Due to my abilities and past experiences, I can be considered a valuable candidate because I demonstrate the qualities of leadership, service, and character. I do feel that if I am chosen, I will do nothing detract from the prestige and respectability that is associated with the society.
To be in the National Junior Honor Society, one must have good citizenship and character. I seek to be a part of this society because it is a great honor and shows not only to others, but also to myself, how hard I have worked throughout my years at Northvale Public School. I take part in school activities and have helped my teachers, so that my classmates and myself can have a better learning experience. During Brain Busters meets, there are times that I am in charge of the group I am in and although it is a lot of responsibility, I know that my team depends on me to help them.
Im very good with words and defusing situations. Being a member of the National Honor Society will help me get into a college of my choice. No one in my family has attended college and my goal is to be the first one. NHS will have me be seen as a leader and a person who is serious about their future. If I become a member of the NHS, I want to be more involved with people and groups.
