I believe that softball isn’t just something you just start for no reason. There’s always some underlying reason as to why you continue to play the game. I started when I was about 5 years old and at that age it may have been because of my parents wanting me to play a sport, but once I decided that I wanted to keep playing as I got older, my parents never made me. I don’t want to be that teammate that no one likes, your goal as a teammate in my opinion is to just let others know that you are there for them, and even if you aren’t playing at that time to just cheer people on and know that your number will get called eventually and you can prove yourself. Softball isn’t just a sport you play for yourself, your team should be like your family. You spend 6 out of the 7 days a week with these girls and more than 2 hours a night with them, you should love them like they are your sisters. I think that’s what going above and beyond as a teammate is all
