How Birth Order Affects Personality

Have you ever been online and saw posts about birth order and wonder if birth order actually affects how a person is? Most things you do see on the internet are and are not true because when someone sees how birth order affects something, it actually can affect and also things that it does not affect. Birth order does not really affect a person besides the way someones parents treat them especially putting certain matters into effect. For example, if someone would have to consider age gap and gender could/would affect how the person is. There are certain things that birth order does and does not affect, it just depends on the what is or is not being affected. For starters, many claim that birth order does not affect the person's personality, but in reality it does. In opposite viewpoint, some people who did research has found that, “...the data revealed no significant effects of birth order on the Big Five personality traits: extraversion, emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness to experience”(Saxena par. 8). Birth order affects personality because with the first born child they seem to be, “...a high achiever who seeks approval, dominates and is that perfectionist who uses up all of the oxygen in the room” (Nahman par. 3). Someone should not go off by what it says. If everyone was the same then nobody would be different and life would be boring instead of exciting and adventurous. Birth order should not affect who a person is. The only thing that should be affecting the person is themselves trying to be who they truly are. Birth order should not affect who a person is on the inside. Yes, it could affect their personality, but they cannot help it. They can be whoever they want to be and people should be fine with
