Farming is important for various reasons like food, jobs, and it helps our environment. Do you know about farming? Farming is a very difficult task. It takes a lot of time and work that keeps you busy from sunup to sundown. But most importantly it assists with food, jobs, the environment and many more. Why farming is so important.Food, jobs, and boosting the environment are just some of the reasons farming is so vital. Vegetables such as corn, soybeans, and the flower wheat, are three of the food sources we grow here in Illinois. Meat is also a source of food we raise in Illinois. Meat comes from livestock like cows, chicken, hogs, and pigs. Some of the meats include chicken, pork, and beef. Have you ever been to the grocery store with your parents when they buy meat? Well that squishy pink stuff in the cart is meat. It doesn't look like it, but it is. We have orchards and gardens that grow berries, pumpkins, fruits, and many more foods that smell delicious. People make money off of farming. Farming is some people's lives, it’s how they live. These people are hard workers, they can’t sit around on the couch every afternoon and watch tv they are always slaving away in the field and/or pasture. Especially during harvest, when taking out crops! Farming provides jobs for truck drivers, store owners, and others in the family or friends. The harvest season is loud with a lot of vehicles working. Farming makes more money than a lot of jobs such as banking, serving, and a ton more! These farmers have to work hard and make money for new supplies, supplies such as combines, tractors, barns, plows, tillers, trucks, grain trucks, even land.
