In the development, Gates became one of the wealthiest men in the world.

Then in the late 1990s, Microsoft teamed with Sega to incorporated their windows software package into the game developer’s Dreamcast hardware. Also they developed their own gaming system called the Xbox and that eventually was replaced by the xbox360. After completing their second year of college Gates and Allen had decided to make their own software company. They started out with Micro-Soft as the first name of the company but later took the hyphen. Gates had soon went back to school at harvard however he dropped out in 1977 before he graduated. On his time out he soon devoted himself to Microsoft and made it his full-time Job. This would help him find the problems and fix them. It would make the company a lot stronger and better. “In 1976, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, two young computer hobbyists from Palo Alto, California, unveiled the prototype for the Apple 1 computer. Steven Paul Jobs was born February 24, 1955 and was adopted by Paul and Ciara Jobs a few weeks after his birth. The family moved to San Francisco to a town called Mountain View, California where Steve grew up and found his passion for computer electronics. He quickly teamed up with with his neighbor Steve Wozniak (Woz) and realized they both shared a interest in computers which developed into a partnership. Starting from scratch, Jobs and Woz began putting together very basic computer mother boards that could be connected to a screen in their garage. Steve and Woz created Apple Computers which has grown to the largest and most successful computer company in the world and surpassing Bill Gates and Windows.

CCC officials were so impressed with the boys that they gave them jobs”(Mcguire 1). On October 28, 1955 William H. Gates III (nicknamed "trey") was born in Seattle. His father was a lawyer (William H. Gates II) and his mother was a schoolteacher. He also had two older sisters who were in high school when Bill was born. Bill attended a public elementary school before he moved to a private school in North Seattle named Lakeside. Lakeside's strong academics enabled Bill to actively get involved with computers (which were the love of his life next to baseball) and use his superior intellect.
