Introduction
Bill Gates is a genius. He is the founder of Windows and is one of the richest people in the world. He created some of the first computer operating systems and is a pioneer of the technological world. He has created a computing empire and is still working to improve the world. He not only is rich but he also donates a lot to charity.
Bill’s Childhood Bill Gates was born on October 28th, 1955. His parents were William and Mary Gates. He was a really good reader and he could read huge textbooks in a matter of days. He loved reading so much that when he was 8, he started reading a whole encyclopedia. Later in the same year, Bill’s mom died. Melinda did a lot to try to help him cope with this. Not only that , but Microsoft was also sued for making other companies sell their other products if they sell Windows.
Changing the World The William H. Gates foundation was started in 1994 and was operated by Bill’s dad. Paul came back to Microsoft and Bill and Paul donated to their old school, Lakeside private school. They created a auditorium in the school named after their old friend, Kent Evans. In 1995, Microsoft started adding the internet to their future plans. They created a web browser called Internet Explorer and launched a network for the internet called MSN. Along with this, Windows 95 was also released that same year. MSN (Microsoft Service Network), did not go well at all. Very few people joined and it had to be redesigned.
