Humans Should Not Be Used In The Experiments To Make Medical Advances Medical experiments are an important tools that help in the development and advancement of the medical field. Medical experiments can be conducted on variety of living and non-living organisms. These organisms range from viruses to different species of mammals, and sometimes it may even include humans. Recently, the latter has been causing a lot of tension. Conducting medical experiments on humans was a major issue in the 20th century. Many people argue that it is reasonable to use humans as an experimental subject. They justify their respective that using a human as a subject will provide a sophisticated and precise data that will contribute in the development and …show more content…

Even though many people accept the use of humans as an experimental subject, people should not accept the objectification of humans as an experimental subject, instead useing animals as an experimental subjects since animals have similar organs, easier to experiment on and more accessible, and animals have wide range of applications. First, many argue that the use of humans in medical experiments helps to propagate a precise and accurate data that helps the evolution of new medicine that is more potent. For instance, the absorption process of a medicine is a vey important step in experimenting new medicine, and using a human to study this process produces a particularly clear data for such a process ( Katzung ). To begin with, it may be true that understanding the process of absorption in human body will provide an accurate data that helps in the advancement of the medical field; however, …show more content…

To begin with, despite the fact that humans communication has a vital role in the psychological experiments in the medical field, scientists are capable of analyzing the behavior of animals to understand the effect of the drug on the brain, and it is also easier to use animals instead of humans in medical experiments since scientists can easily dissect the body of an animal. For instance, in “Flowers For Algernon” Keyes mentioned “Burt was watching Algernon in one of multiple problem boxes. He sighed and shook his head. ‘ He has forgotten a lot. Most of his complex responses seem to have been wiped out…’.” This is an image that illustrate the observation of an experiment that was conducted on a mouse. The animal in this experiment showed different behaviors during the stages of the experiment. This shows that experimenting on animals provide an easier way to observe different behavior; as a result, it is easier to conduct experiments on animals than humans. Moreover, it is easier to conduct an experiments on animals because acquiring animals as an experimental subjects is more accessible than
