Ever After was an exemplary way of showing the Renaissance by the unique fashion, beautiful art, and the way of life. For fashion, the sumptuary laws and types of clothes worn were what they showed the most. For art, the importance of art, the type of art, and artists is what this film mostly targeted. Throughout this movie, it showed the way of life perfectly through the social life, royalty, fighting, and everyday life. This movie clearly reflected the life of the Renaissance… especially the fashion.

That was well displayed in the movie. During the time of the Renaissance, everyone deeply appreciated art. One example of how they praised art was when the Mona Lisa was stolen the prince went after the thief and fought him and almost fell off a cliff. That showed that even royalty would die in a fight for art. The architecture in this movie, castles, houses (rich and poor houses), pillars, and other architectural items, were exactly how it was back in the Renaissance. Leonardo da Vinci was portrayed just like how he was during the Renaissance. One reason for that is in the movie, it had the Mona Lisa (his famous painting). Also, it had two of his amazing inventions, his water shoes and a type of kite. Going back to my point about how art was praised in the renaissance and how everyone deeply enjoyed art, near the end of this film Leonardo wanted to see the boys art. That showed how even the best artist still enjoys everyone else’s art. Also, everyone in the movie was always intrigued by the art.
