After careful deliberation the ABC Corporation has decided to provide us with important guidelines of ethics to practice at the company. The purpose of this memo is to update all our employees with the ethical communication guidelines. Prevent Social Pressure Working for a big company can sometimes bring pressure. In some cases you will be asked to do things that may not feel ethical, and you will have decide if you are going to do it the right way or the way the company wants you to. Other types of pressure may come from other companies. This type of miscommunication may lead to misusing your own ethical standards. It’s important for an employee to always have with them their own ethical values. Some ways that may affect ethics is: • Merchandise over ethics. Be aware of the products and their safety features. Our company takes very seriously Honesty. We want our loyal customers to feel secure when purchasing a product. Ways to avoid abusive communication are: • Exaggerating claims: - Avoid exaggerating benefits and safety if the product has any type of risk. - Always care about our costumer’s safety. - If you feel pressured in any way speak to a supervisor. - Remember we are all a big team. • Falsifying or Fabricating Data: - Do not manipulate any information of the product. - We should always be honest with our clients. • Stealing Information/Plagiarism - We should be aware of what we comment to others, the information should always stay within the
