The College is offering several courses that students can take over the summer break. These general education and developmental courses are available to both current and incoming students. These classes are typically several weeks long and meet five days a week for multiple hours a day.
According to Campusweb, those classes include Christian worldview II (BTS 383), Fundamentals of Computer Science (CSC 113), Composition Skills (ENG 013), Intermediate Algebra (MAT 013), Readings in Western Civilization (ENG 163), Western Civilization I (HTY 153), and Western Civilization II (HTY 163), American Experience (HTY 253).
Lacey Mattheis, registrar, said the summer course list on Campusweb is only tentative and several of those classes may not be offered if too few of students register for them.

“Taking one of these courses helps these students address any academic deficiencies so that they can start the fall at the same level as other incoming freshmen,” Bolger stated.
Any student participating in the Summer Work Program is eligible to take summer classes as well, Bolger stated, however, they must have their work supervisor’s permission.
Summer classes are offered free of charge to any currently enrolled C of O student, Bolger stated, and students do not have to live on campus or be in the Summer Work Program to take advantage of them.
