Mexican Cartels Mexican Cartel’s beginnings have a interesting story. Mexican Cartels came to be when Pablo Escobar, the most powerful drug lord, started expanding even farther than just Colombia. He needed a quicker and more efficient way to get the product to the people who actually bought them. Mexico was a perfect spot to transport all the merchandise to United States. The gangs that distributed these products made a deal with Pablo Escobar and received some share of the merchandise for their own purposes. The Mexican gangs became formidable traffickers and started expanding their business. This business branched off into different gangs which became the Mexican Cartels as they are now. This paper will be making a research on U.S impact on Mexican Cartels, how the cartels influenced individuals, religion, etc., and what led to the Cartel’s rise and fall. U.S has had large impacts on the cartels, such as the construction of the U.S-Mexican Border Wall, the increase of border security along the wall, blocking of major trade routes that led into U.S territory, the training of Mexican military by U.S advanced military, and the gun control law that limited the purchase of any types of firearms. The U.S-Mexican border wall has had its good and bad days, with an estimated height of 25ft this wall should be virtually uncross able but drug/ human smuggles still find a way to elude this wall’s defenses. This enormous wall runs all the way from Brownsville, TX to San Diego, Cali for 1,954 miles according to the (International Boundary and Water Commission).” Its level of security is pretty high with advanced equipment such as, thermal heat scanners, and border patrol officials running a tight schedule every night and day. La Santa Muerte can be found in most drug houses/warehouses, painted on the walls, shrines, and murals.People are just plain afraid to cross into Mexico and visit. They are terrorized by the cartels and have no way of visiting their family members or loved ones. In definite everything that is referred to drugs, cartels, drug traffickers, adoration to their saints, involves killings, and separation of families. This is why parents should have more communication with their child’s and explain the dangers and consequences of these cartels.
