When most people think of sleep, they think of it as a relaxed but yet not a very important part of our daily lives. What most people don’t understand is although we are not up and moving around and getting tasks completed, our brains are still very active. Without sleep our bodies do not function correctly on a daily basis, and our mental state is at risk.

Boredom was everywhere in my world, and if you asked the kids, as often as I did, why they felt so bored, they always gave me the same answers: They said the work was stupid, that it made no sense, that they already knew it. They said they wanted to be doing something real, not just sitting around. They said teachers didn’t seem to know much about their subjects and clearly weren’t interested in learning more. And the kids were right: their teachers were every bit as bored as they were

To begin, people can become addicted to dopamine, a chemical in the human brain that is released when one is having much stimulation by entertainment, without it people can feel very bored. Dopamine can have the same effect drugs can, dopamine can become a necessity for humans when receiving too much. Matt Richtel states, “a dopamine squirt that researchers say can be addictive. In its absence, people feel bored.”(Richtel 9) Many believe, people can keep a phone handy a get a quick entertainment fill if they start to feel bored. Sleep is an integral part of life, but differs from other states of reduced consciousness in that the brain is still somewhat active. Sleep is an “altered state of consciousness, [with the sleeper losing] substantial contact with the external world.” (Gazzaniga, M., & Heatherton, T., 2016). Nonetheless, brain activity has an extensive role in the creation of “sleep”, generating two distinct types - slow-wave sleep, also referred to as deep sleep, and rapid eye movement, also called the dreaming stage. Comprised of five stages, sleep is a complex state of mind, also consisting of patterns known as circadian rhythms. Operating as a behavior, sleep alters to suit our bodily needs, and informs us of such needs through an intricate network of nerves. Furthermore, without obtaining an ideal amount of sleep, problems can arise that may affect one’s wellbeing. Detailed research and studies previously conducted on the subject of sleep allows the accumulation of information to be
Life, itself, existing might not be enough to conquer boredom. The slow process of enlarging a hole by repetitive movements is called boring. This may be why things, that are slow and repetitive that don’t appear to be going anywhere, came to be described as the same word, these things are boring. Boredom, which means being temporarily uninterested in anything happening, has been found as far back as ancient Pompei. Boredom is a feeling we, as humans, don't like, and it happens to everyone. But now we have Facebook, Youtube, Google, and iPhone games to keep ourselves occupied. So why do we get bored and why is boredom important? Although boredom seems trivial to humans, boredom is actually exciting because it is the most unique emotion of all.
What exactly is creativity? To be creative is to understand and connect the small details of our experiences, both good and bad (creative something). Creativity involves a person using his or her original ideas to create something. Artists such as poets, writers, painters, designers, and more use creativity on a regular basis. They use creativity to come up with new ideas and create original works of art. A poet would use his or her creative abilities to write and produce a poem just like a painter would use creativity to paint a painting.
When I am happy with what I am doing, I am not bored. However, even happiness has its limits. I only want to do things for so long before I grow tired of them. Since we are born we have imagination and as we grow up this imagination may increase or decrease. Creativity strongly relies in our imagination. Depending on different circumstances people learn to express their creativity openly while other people close themselves and believe they do not have creativity. Creativity is a natural talent that every single human has. Creativity can be used to solve a complex problem in a different manner or just to find innovative ways to have fun. Creativity is thinking out of the box. Even though creativity cannot be taught from scratch there should be a class that is specific for creativity.
Boredom can be defined as the state of being weary or restless due to lack of interest. Some believe that being bored can cause trouble, while others believe that boredom can be channelled into good deeds and positive activities. Which is correct? Does boredom lead to trouble? Or does boredom lead to helping others and bettering oneself? What if the answer is both? Boredom does not lead to trouble in all cases, but it can not be denied that in others it does. The real answer of what boredom leads to lies within the disciplines brought unto those who are bored. If a child is raised correctly, and disciplined properly, he/she will not get into trouble when bored, he/she will, instead, know how to control his/her impulses and channel that boredom into a productive activity.
