Emotion is an essential part of human life which commonly used in dictating moods. 1 In psychology, emotion is considered a response to stimuli that involves characteristic physiological changes—such as an increase in pulse rate, rise in body temperature, greater or less activity of certain glands, change in the rate of breathing—and tends in itself to motivate the individual toward further activity (Emotion para 1). People need to pay close attention to their emotions in order to carefully deal with it. 2 Our emotion is often intertwined with mood, temperament, personality, disposition, and motivation. They are often ashamed to talk about their emotions because they think it can make them weak in front of the society. As a result, many people suffer from serious psychological disorder, however they do not want to talk about it. They act to be a strong man, but in reality their emotions are killing them from inside. Serious psychological disorders can be developed when people neglect their feelings. Sometimes, people can lose their mental balance and die. In his interview when Warren was asked why many people refused for therapy, he strongly mentioned, “The grave is full of macho men”. If someone does not follow the rules and regulations, it create shame for the individual. It is okay for a woman to cry but it is shameful for a man to cry in front people. Therefore, many men neglect their feelings as the society teaches them to do so. According to many scientist, it is impossible to regulate our cortisol level, but we can learn how to respond differently in a stressful situation. Day by day a person can recognize the feelings and feel less stress if we just learn to seek professional help when we need to. We can even try to seek help from a close friend or family member. We are innately social and we need to continually disclose our feelings. This neglecting attitude toward feelings lead to severe depression and many kinds of physical and psychological disorder. In the emotional life video, Warren and Senator Antonioni proved that how depression can be so hard to deal with, but when they seek help they improved.
