Einstein Informative Speech

I understand that you are uninterested in science, but I was doing some research on subatomic particles and string theory and found astonishing information about the universe that we live in that I just have to share it with someone and you are the first person I thought of. I will try (not really) to keep it short, as I know that science is not your thing (even though it really should be, as it is AWESOME), so I am only going to tell you about Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, black holes, and wormholes, as they are all interrelated and so interesting that every person, including you, must know about them. Hey, you may get a new idea for an awesome rap song from this inspiring information. You never know! All of this information …show more content…

Now I can discuss black holes, as they were predicted by Einstein’s Theory. Black holes are massive amounts of matter crammed into one small space, which creates a gravitational field that blocks any light from escaping; kind of like that time when you sat on me and I could not escape. Remember that time? Yeah, you bet I do. Anyways, these black holes can be filled with matter that is “ten times more massive than the Sun” (science.nasa.gov). I cannot even imagine something that huge in our very own galaxy, can you? Probably not, since it is fascinating! These mesmerizing black holes are formed when gigantic stars break apart in a supernova explosion and leave their dense, small core behind. “If the core’s mass is more than about three times the mass of the Sun, the equations showed, the force of gravity overwhelms all other forces and produces a black hole” (science.nasa.gov). The gravity collapses the star, creating that dense, massive hole that traps light inside. Massive black holes also form from stellar collisions, which is when a black hole and a neutron star collide. “Soon after its launch in December 2004, NASA’s Swift telescope observed the powerful, fleeting flashes of light known as gamma ray bursts” (science.nasa.gov). This “afterglow” that was produced gave plenty of evidence that the explosions occurred from …show more content…

(And I know you want me to continue writing because you are so intrigued, even if you do not want to admit that you obviously chose the wrong profession). Wormholes, which are not holes in worms as I know that is what you are thinking (you never were too good at science), were also discovered by using Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity with help from Nathan Rosen in 1935. Together, they defined these mysterious holes as bridges or passages through space-time, connecting two distinct points, and making the time and distance it takes to travel through the universe shorter. They have two mouths (kind of like you when you’re eating ice cream cake), and a throat in the middle that connect the two opposite ends in various possible shapes and structures. Similarly to black holes, wormholes can be detected by the way that light is affected when it travels near the gravitational pull of the wormhole. Although this makes sense, scientists have not yet discovered one, but they know that they are out there as Einstein’s Theory of Relativity (which should not be questioned as it would be a sin to doubt the wonderful Albert Einstein) mathematically proves their existence. Wormholes and black holes are actually connected, as some scientists predict that the mouths of these wormholes are actually black holes, although black holes cannot form a wormhole. Scientists have discussed
