Why do we have and take care of our pets? We all know the cute puppy face pulls us in, but pet care is more than the cuteness factor. Some people have a true love for pets. Brulliard and Hogenboom both agree on the issue: pet haters are seen as less credible people as well as less responsible. Hogenboom also elaborates how pet haters are seen as less economically wealthy than a pet lover. Brulliard also bring up the problem of when people who dislike animals do not have a connection to nature in their homes; in turn, causing them to be less likely to conserve and help the environment.
