Childhood is the most important time of lives where our minds and bodies experience the most growth and development. Our early years are extremely influential on the rest of our lives and the way that we cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally process. There are so many different factors that play into the ways that we develop. In order to understand this process more fully, I spent some time observing Stella, a five year old girl whom I am able to interact with on a fairly regular basis. To back up my observations and add to the information I take in, I am using two different theories that well support many aspects of development.
