What the adolescents face in terms of bullying and cyberbullying
Cyber Bullying is the use of electronic communication to bully a person, by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening.
Ware been reading the novel ‘Destroying Avalon’ by Kate McCathery In this novel Avalon remains silent as she undergoes similar experiences. As Avalon and Marshall are both victims of systematic bullying, Avalon feels the need to remain silent to keep the trust between her only real friend, Marshall. As a result of Avalon’s silence, consequences followed such as Marshall’s tragic death.

In the other text, a song Scar, by Missy Higgins, is a song rife with a meaning for myself and many others. The feeling that the people will always want you to fit a certain mold. Missy Higgins is particularly fond of metaphor throughout her song. For example, ‘triangle trying to squeeze through a circle.
Effects of bullying and Cyber Bullying
Cyber bullying affects people from any’ age, including children, teens, and adults who all feel very stressed and alone when being bullied online. Such as bullying can cause a long term damage to self-esteem.

For example, Cyberbullying can make you feel totally overwhelmed which can result in feeling embarrassed as they are going through such a devastating time, and not knowing what support is available for them. Many children feel unable to confide in an adult because they feel ashamed and wonder whether they will be judged.
With mobile technology being so freely available it is an ongoing issue and one that is relentless. Not only does it go on after school, college or work has finished, but it then carries through into the next day and the cycle
