The history of the Democratic and the Republic parties has shaped Americas into what it is today. Even though we may not know how or why things happened to our government the government will stand firm with the constitution on its side. The history of the Democratic party takes place back in 1792, when the supporters of Thomas Jefferson began using the name Republicans. In the 1790s Jefferson wanted a strong central government and this caused the parties to split in half. Making one government into two ideas so the people can pick for their self to follow a certain idea. In an article, I read it said that government had the right to obey the peoples vote or not. The only time they agreed with each other was when the government had to go against the peoples vote to keep peace in other nations. In other words, they should be able to go against the people vote in a time of crisis. Why should the government be over the banks? Some of the American people say yes because if the banks go under than the government will be able to help them out in the time of need. Like everybody people see to sides of the same argument. The other people disagree with that statement will want a small government. The people who want the government to be over the banks want a bigger government. Each party believes in something. The Republicans believe that the government should have less control over the American people. The Democratic should have a bigger government. Between these two parties the Republicans want a stronger constitution and in the laws of the land you have to be a citizen of America, but some of the Democratic Americans are putting this right aside the fact you have to be a citizen to be able to vote.
