Success Essay
For many people, success is defined in various ways. Some might say that success means achieving what you dream or feel passion for. Larry Smith contends in his TED talk, that most individuals are likely to fail while trying to reach success, such as a great career, due to the fact that it is only possible to do so by following and finding your passion. However, a minority of people really follow their passion. I don’t entirely agree with Larry, I do not think passion is the main aspect when it comes to success, I believe success can be achieved in many ways and perhaps failure is not a bad thing. Failure does not mean that one will not be able to succeed in the future, it means that through this failure he or she will thrive and be more commitment than one was to start with. Simply, I

Being successful to me means you have accomplished what your goal or passion was. The opposite of success is failure, as it means to fail while trying to achieve those aims and goals. But besides this regular definition of failure, it also can be said that even wealthy and successful individuals with a great career fail throughout their lives. Being successful means the achievement of desired visions and planned goals, but as Larry Smith says, “It’s because no matter how many times someone tells you to follow your passion, you just won’t do it.” Instead, you will follow the safe life path and end up in one of those “soul-destroying” jobs. Larry believes that many individuals fail to have great careers because they make excuses to avoid taking actions. However, I recognize why some people do it. I believe most individuals are scared of failure and disappointment, or of what the society will think about them if they did not succeed. And they might excuse it by claiming that passionate people are abnormal, for
The definition of success can be different for everyone based on how they percieve the term. To me, success is doing all you can do to try to come out on top. A scenario of this would be during a basketball match, your team is down by 12 points, everyone is running the fastest they can, shooting as accurate as they can, and supporting one another
Success means to live a life in alignment with what brings us real joy. In my case, “success-joy” comes in many guises. At times, in being persistent with my current dreams, others, investing time and energy in what makes my life shine, and that is, without a doubt, when my life is at service of humanity and when I cultivate happy and healthy close relationships. I tend to define success as a state of being, a constant process of unfolding rather than a place to arrive. It is the journey of getting to know ourselves, in order to fully occupy every aspect of what we are; a forever changing aspiration, a state of being in which we realize that life’s greatest rewards spring from our capacity to relate to adversity in innovative ways. I have also discovered that real success shows up again when we debunk and deconstruct every single stereotype and assumption we have about ourselves. In this way, we feel capable to challenge what is commonly accepted as wisdom and then we have the opportunity to change and integrate our values with greater ones. There is an enormous joy when we feel free to play with the possible new scenarios that our imagination and creativity compelled us to try. A successful state of being is alert and grounded within us with the certainty, that the choices we embark on are in resonance with what we consider is the truth of what we are in that precise
To many people success means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. But what it really means is more than just that; is having a beautiful and amazing family of two boys and one girl, and have the best wife. Also, success means reaching my goals or dreams, like starting my new manufactory and insurance business and keep working hard because in order to reach things I must be ready to fall and rise up. But like I said, to obtain where I want to be; I’ll first need to finish college having my Bachelor in Accounting and start from zero.
Success is not earning a fat juicy check at the end of each month, or being a part of a large social group filled with fraudulent people that appear as familiar faces. But it is a person discovering him or herself after they had been lost and establishing a sense of purpose that makes them fills them with a warm glowing sense of accomplishment. Success does not have one transparent definition, it has various meanings depending on what success means to the individual trying to achieve it. Success is surviving.
Success is a very subjective term; it means many different things to many different people. A person not knowing how to define success can make life more challenging. You must be able to set goals, plan your strategy, be motivated and be prepared in their success journey. Successful individuals are recognized in our society, but are recognized in many different ways. Many people struggle to achieve their goals in life, but you have to have you mind set to solve any setbacks, instead of giving up. Ray Goforth stated “There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world; those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid you will succeed”.
Over thousands of years people have been driven by success, but what is success? Success to me is the ability to perform at your highest level in the path in life that you take. I believe that if you are not driven to be the very best at the things you do then it is not a calling. There are plenty of opportunities in life and you should take everyone you get. Success is a word that is on a broad spectrum, there is no single definition to the word. I define what success is for me. There is no set image of success, success is also constantly changing. The word success means achieving what I want to do in life, and to prosper in the situations my life has put me in.
What defines success? Have you ever wondered what does it take to become successful? After reading and researching through many resources, I have concluded that success is defined as being able to achieve your goals and what you aim for. In other words success is being able to accomplish what you aim for through extreme hard work and dedication. Not everybody has the ability and skills to become successful in life. It really takes a person with courage and will to reach out and work hard enough for what they want.
According to The Oxford Dictionary of the English language success is defined as “The accomplish of an aim or purpose.” But, depending on who you ask, success can be defined differently for every person. Fortune, wealthy, and popularity may label someone as successful in some people’s eyes, but others might consider successful as being happy, proud, and content. Colin R. Davis, a British conductor, once said “The road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.” What he means by this is, in order to be successful you must fail at first, learn from it, then fix your mistakes and flourish.
Successful is a simple word, however, the meaning of this word changes quite often. Each person has a different definition of success and that definition can change depending on the situation. Bob Dylan once wrote, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” This a very broad definition of success and should not be used. The definition of success should be “the pursued goals have been adequately accomplished.”
Ultimately, success to me is setting attainable goals and achieving them while also pursuing actions that bring an individual joy and a sense of accomplishment. I sincerely believe that striving for set S.M.A.R.T. goals is an advantageous way
The true definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Although, many people have different perceptions of success. Success is judged by the individuals themselves. Success can be defined in many ways including: wealth, happiness, fame, etc. Success can be anything from material goods to concepts. It all depends on your concept and how you achieve your goals. You have to have persistence within yourself. Varying on your profession, you will need a certain skill level. Your definition of success can be suitable best for you, but not for others. It is about truly not giving up, reaching your full potential, and self-fulfillment.
Success (the opposite of failure) is the status of having achieved. Success is the consequence of having earned a series of accomplishments.Being successful means the achievement of desired visions and planned goals. Life is nothing without success. Life have no taste it there ain't success. We only can achieve success if we fail one or two times. And this is true that failure can eventually lead to success, because we actually learn from our mistakes. In the history of the world, there are many many failure who had lead to success in a way, that we can’t belive. A scientist einstein is a big example for us to learn how failure achieve to success. Looking at our daily, we daily fail our achievement test, but usually a times come when we spark a success. And I had many experiences in my life like that. I am also getting know also how my daliy failure life lead to success.
“Follow your dreams”, “Choose a career you are passionate about”. These are all things we have heard and been taught. What people do not always realize, is that passion and skill are two very different things. Webster's Dictionary defines passion as, “intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction” while it defines skill as, “the ability to use one's knowledge effectively and readily in execution or performance”. It can easily be seen that you can be passionate about something, without having the skill to do it, just like you can have the skill to do something but not be passionate about it. This can be seen in the life of just about any individual. People have things they are passionate about and
From my perspective, success is not a destination, but the road that you're on. Being successful means that you're working hard and walking your walk every day. You can only live your dream by working hard towards it. That's living your dream. And the main reason why I came here is to tell you about what most successful people do to motivate themselves.
The first group of people with successful careers I'd like to discuss is those who simply enjoy their work. This group of people is very fortunate, or lucky if you prefer, because they have found a job they do well and can do it without having to deal with the negativity normally associated with work. They get up every morning, head to work, and are glad to be going, unlike most of us who can only think about all of the other things we would rather be doing. With this group, few things give them as much pleasure in life as knowing that although today's work is done, they can do it all again tomorrow. Having that kind of outlook on ones career is a success, despite how much money you make or how well you perform at work.
