D.A.R.E. “Define, Assess, Respond, Evaluate” DARE challenged me in many different ways. It started with the DARE Respect Challenge, I never realized what my attitude was like until Deputy Herwig told us for a week to try and be completely kind, don’t talk back, don’t argue, and don’t be a Booger, (that’s what Deputy Herwig calls rude and disruptive people). The next challenge that he told us about was the No Yelling Challenge, I knew it would be hard. But I was committed to doing it and I want to complete it with no hesitations. It was difficult, like when me and my sister got into arguments, it was hard not to yell. I tried so hard to complete the challenge and I did, I was super proud. The newest challenge that we have and I have yet to complete is the No Electrons Challenge. Deputy Herwig assigned this challenge on Monday, March 2, 2015. This challenge arose some time ago when Deputy Herwig left the Military Base. He was going out for dinner with 3 other men. They ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings. While they were at the restaurant there were many different age groups of people, an age group of people that were around 45, 30, and between the age of 18 - 20 that were in training …show more content…

Today, Monday, March 2, 2015 we studied that HOW you say things is just as important as WHAT you say. Like when you're talking to someone and you don’t make eye contact it can be really annoying. Deputy Herwig put our class in groups of 2, then he told the longest haired person out of the group to choose a subject off of the board to tell our partner about. Next he told the long hair people to put down their heads and the shorter haired people to listen up. “Your job is to not listen to them while they are talking.” So they didn’t and it was so annoying!
