The Vietnam War totally changed president’s power, economic situation and normal Americans’ lives. As the start of all the chaos in Vietnam, the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, gave president power to take all necessary measures to repel any armed attack against the forces of the United States (Doc A). Which numerously increased President’s scale of power. After the long fights in Vietnam, the War Powers Act in 1973 limited President’s power on wars (Doc G). The war was expensive.
