Compare And Contrast Christ Consciousness And Buddha Nature

Christianity is one of the largest and most powerful religions in the world with Jesus Christ being the main figure that is most celebrated. Jesus is known to be a man of kindness and wisdom with a connection with his assumed father (God) that makes Christians want to follow his footsteps. Buddhism is a religion that may not actually be a religion as its guidelines do not highlight one true ruler but that there is divine wisdom in everyone. What has fascinated me is the parallels between the two religions that have few similarities in foundation have many in practices. Throughout this paper there will be explanation on what Christ consciousness truly is along with Buddha nature and how as different as they might seem in reality they are one and the same.

Buddhism is that surrounds itself in the objective of not serving a deity as other religions do but to serve the purpose of inspiring inner peace. The most sought after path the road of Buddhism teaches is the path of enlightenment. Both Christ consciousness and Buddha nature are seen as certain aspects that one’s of either religion acquire when then reach a certain point to where they study and accept the teachings. In Christianity usually it is the one’s that believe or practice being a good person that Christ conciseness most comes up. With Buddha nature you have the potential and the opportunity it just depends on how you act upon it. The main similarity between the two that connects them is that there is no person or deity that gives you either, they are both states that are attained rather than given.
