It is considered that football is the most viewed sport in the United States, over 200 million people watch the regular season which consists of 256 games, and about 114 million people watch the Super Bowl alone which is the final game of the season. The National Football League roughly makes over 500 million for a regular season and their players get paid an average of 2.11 million, but that is the NFL.

College Football is a different business. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is the organization that regulates college sports in the United States, the college football league is very competitive because of its level of competence is has over 40 million viewers in the United States, obviously it cannot be compared to the NFL. The players on the teams in college football are all students one of the benefits of being a student in a college that plays within the NCAA is that they all have full scholarship for being part of the team.
