Effective leadership is very important even through God eyes. We should all read the bible at some point of our lives. It teaches us that a Christian leader is very special and worthy. In the bible, a Christian leader is selected and called by God whereas people like us select a natural leader.
What is leadership? To me, Leadership is being able to lead others through his or her vision and mission. According to Ken Blanchard, “leadership is a process of influence. Anytime you seek to influence the thinking, behavior, or development of people in their personal or professional lives, you are taking the role of a leader.” In the bible leadership have two main factors: the leader and a group of people or individual. The leader will develop goals that will benefit the group or individual and come up with a plan that will motivate them to achieve those goals. They are able to motive and inspire their followers to achieve higher goals. He was called Abram until God thought he should be the father of many nations and name him Abraham. Abraham was one of the most important transformational leaders in the bible. Abraham was the headman who believed in one God. He helped build the foundation for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. He also changed the nations through compassion, monotheism, and justice. Abraham had vision and mission to achieve as a effective leader. He wanted to find a new nation. He wanted to create the Promise Land, so that his family will live together. He also wanted them to believe in monotheism. Abraham only served one God and wherever he went he talked about the good Lord. As a leader, Abraham wanted to give his travelers a safe place to rest and in the pagan society he wanted to spread the word of monotheism.
